Organisations & initiatives

The Lions Club Ghent Seaport is actively committed to promoting social welfare in our society, including in its collaboration with Schelstraete Delacourt Associates. Every year, over €25,000 are donated to social projects in our region. In recent years, the Lions Club International Foundation has contributed to food aid projects and actions that support dialysis patients and patients with cystic fibrosis.

Schelstraete Delacourt Associates also sponsors the BBC Hansbeke basketball club, a flourishing organisation that gives young people from the region the opportunity to have fun playing sports.

We are also a member of Ubuntoo, which is a global collaboration platform that brings together diverse stakeholders with a common mission to end plastic pollution.  Membership to Ubuntoo gives us access to their comprehensive database, connectivity to their global community of changemakers through Forums, news and information, and many more features.
