Sustainability and real estate

Our office in Ghent is located in a building with a unique history. It was built by Count Paul de Smet de Naeyer (Belgian Prime Minister from 1896 to 1899 and from 1899 to 1907), was later inherited by his childless granddaughters, and then eventually became the property of the City of Ghent. It was later transferred to a Lebanese art collector, who renovated it and turned it into an art gallery.

Schelstraete Delacourt Associates strives to constantly renovate and restore the building with respect for history and tradition, creating an inspiring working environment for staff, clients, and candidates. We are simultaneously expanding the building using modern technology, with an eye for sustainability, for example, by installing solar panels.
